Microsoft Outlook 2000
This page describes how to configure Microsoft Outlook 2000 to access your POP email box. |
1. Select Accounts... from the Tools pull-down menu.

2.You will see a listing of all the different accounts that you have Outlook Express configured to use. Click on Add... and select Mail... to add a new email account.

3.This will launch a wizard. Follow the screens, filling the information as indicated below each picture.

This screen is asking for your name. Type it in and click Next.
|

This screen is asking for your e-mail address. It will be in the format youraddress@yourdomain.com. Type it in and click Next.

This screen needs three things answered. The first one should already read POP3, but if not, change it so it does. The second and third need to both read mail.yourdomain.com. Then click Next.

On this screen, fill in Account Name with your e-mail address again. Put your password in the Password field, and check Remember Password. Click Next and then click Finish.
 This will bring you back to the accounts window.

Click on Properties, and then click on Servers
|

Make sure in the Outgoing Server section at the bottom of the screen, you have a check mark in My server requires authentication., then click OK and then Close.
